Lulu's Thai Noodle Shop is looking to hire an Assistant Manager for its location in the Downtown Overland Park, KS.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the restaurant. This position will work closely with the General Manager and Hourly Team. This is a training role, we are seeking someone with a passion to grow. Ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to learn everything Lulu's, with the desire to take the next steps when they are presented.
Responsibilities:
- Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
- Open communication with staff, other managers, and restaurant ownership.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, menu items, and alcoholic beverages as well as a pairing.
- Own the hiring process from recruiting to onboarding/training. Monitor the training protocols for current employees.
- Complete daily operational tasks and guide the team to ensure their daily tasks are completed.
- Ensure the team is providing excellent food and customer service for the guests.
- Perform inventory and ordering of products needed for all business entities.
- Create weekly schedules for all areas of the restaurant and post the schedule in HotSchedules.
- Manage reservations, private events and catering orders for the restaurant.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Skills/Requirements:
- At least 1 years of restaurant managerial or leadership experience is required.
- At least 21 years of age
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Products are preferred
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal as well as written form.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- A sense of urgency, positive attitude, and ability to promote a team environment in the restaurant.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts including the team, other managers, vendors, and guests.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends, nights and dining holidays.
Payrate for this position is dependent on experience. You must be available to work weekends, especially Sundays. We offer Paid Time Off and Health Insurance as part of our benefits package.
