Title: Production Supervisor
Reports To: Production Manager
Rowmark proudly manufactures, markets and distributes a wide array of innovative and quality products for our customers primarily in the awards, recognition and signage markets. Our extensive product line of sheet materials are distributed in over 80 countries around the world.
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee shift operations of the production department to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role is responsible for leading and assisting in the development of the team of extrusion operators, assistant extrusion operators, material handlers and inspector packagers and effective communication across shifts and departments.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise extrusion line personnel (10-12 employees) in the efficient and safe production of materials.
- Develop and maintain hands-on proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of extrusion equipment, including operation of production lines as needed to support staffing, lead employee development, identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, and ensure production, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Coordinate work schedules, shift assignments, and machine operations to meet production targets.
- Document and address/acknowledge employee performance in a relevant and timely manner and review during annual performance evaluations.
- Monitor extrusion process parameters to ensure product quality, consistency, and compliance with customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
- Conduct training for new and existing employees on safety procedures, machine operation, company policies and quality standards.
- Ensure all documentation, including production records, quality checks, and downtime reports, are completed accurately and timely.
- Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures; participate in safety audits and meetings.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S principles and company standards.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate with the department manager, purchasing or logistics as needed.
- Ensure that the team complete cycle counts in a timely manner when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certifications a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong technical capability including maintenance, equipment operation, and troubleshooting required.
- Experience with the operations of plastics extrusion equipment (preferred, but not necessary). Extrusion process training offered.
- Knowledge of extrusion machinery, polymers, materials handling, and process control preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, production schedules, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
