Job Summary
Family-owned construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to manage and support our HR functions. This role involves overseeing benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and maintaining accurate HR records. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in various payroll and accounting software, along with a solid understanding of employment law and financial concepts. The Human Resources Generalist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with employee benefits programs and ensure accurate benefits enrollment and recordkeeping.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, including tax law adherence and payroll tax regulations.
- Conduct data analysis for HR metrics and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain compliance with labor law requirements and assist in audits related to payroll and HR records.
- Support HR functions including onboarding, employee record management, and policy enforcement.
- Back-up payroll processing using Deltek ComputerEase payroll system.
- Back-up time & attendance system tracking of employee hours.
Skills
- Experience in H/R Compliance is REQUIRED.
- Strong understanding of employment & labor law, tax law, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts related to payroll management.
- Skilled in data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing), double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with benefits administration processes and time & attendance systems management.
- Analytical skills for financial data analysis and report generation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and ensure compliance standards are met.
- Experience with Deltek ComputerEase payroll system is a plus.
