Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure products are well-presented and accessible
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or providing support remotely
- Support store operations by managing inventory levels, organizing stock, and ensuring the sales floor is tidy and inviting
Requirements
- Prior experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and pricing
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
