This position is with the District 3 Business Support.

Why does the job exist?
This position will provide comprehensive classification and compensation management/tracking services and recruitment for the assigned divisions, bureaus, and sections of the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and within the Human Resources (HR) Bureau. The position will adhere to strict confidentiality, policies, guidelines, and will assist management with HR related functions.
How does it get done?
- Provides Human Resources support for District 3. Ensuring compliance with New Mexico Department of Transportation and State Personnel Office rules, policies, and procedures.
- Create job postings to include refer and screen, route, and certify lists.
- Provide human resources assistance to staff on payroll, benefits, and compensation.
- Provide time entry technical assistance to program staff.
- Process on-boarding and off boarding with applicable payroll and benefits processing and closure.
- Enter all HR transactions into SHARE-HCM and EDMS.
- Serves as a liaison for the General Office and the Department and Finance Administration for payroll.
- Monitor active recruitments including corresponding with hiring managers, assisting applicants with
questions, and verifying applicant qualifications.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Business/Personal Reference check and Driver's License verification are required, and employment is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Sitting/standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching and kneeling for extended periods of time may be required. High volume interaction with the public, supervisors and co-workers. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
