JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs drafting for capital projects using AutoCAD® based on verbal instructions or sketches provided by Engineers
- Assists in ensuring that all plans are prepared in accordance with Specifications, Special Provisions, Standard Drawings, Drafting Standards and Approved Material List.
- Assists Engineers in preparing exhibits and compiling information for capital budgets, project status reports, project schedules.
- Prepares as-built plans of completed projects and updates system maps.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology preferred.
- Two years of CAD experience in general civil design or in public utilities design required.
- Experience in the design of water distribution, storage and supply facilities is highly desirable.
- Effective typing, written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to read engineering plans and maps.
- AutoCAD® certification(s) preferred.
- Proficiency with GIS applications utilizing AutoCAD® Map preferred.
May include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening for extended periods of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
