LegiStorm LLC, a provider of authoritative data in government and politics, is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team.
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at LegiStorm, you will play a pivotal role in our company's growth strategy. Your responsibilities encompass both inbound lead management and outbound prospecting, aimed at driving revenue growth and helping businesses achieve their goals in Congress and state legislatures. You will be responsible for proactively initiating conversations and identifying and qualifying potential customers through strategic outreach efforts.
The SDR position at LegiStorm offers a unique career progression track, preparing you for future roles within our sales team. As an SDR, you will have a fixed base salary of $55,000, and you will have the potential to earn an additional $15,000 through bonus metrics, bringing your total on-target earnings (OTE) to $70,000. Your earnings will increase as you progress in your career within the company.
This is a Fully-Remote position
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Use the CRM to manage inbound leads effectively, proactively initiating conversations, and identifying and qualifying potential customers.
- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
- Qualify outbound-sourced leads based on defined criteria and schedule discovery meetings with your account executives.
- Use social media, particularly LinkedIn, for thought leadership, engaging with our ICP, and creating and sharing videos.
- Collaborate closely with account executives to identify potential customers and target industries.
- Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for both inbound and outbound prospecting efforts.
- Attend networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition and industry developments.
We’re looking for people who:
- Are excited about career growth in B2B SaaS sales and developing into a future Account Executive on the LegiStorm sales team.
- Have 1-3 years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding targets - industry experience in government relations or advocacy is a plus
- Are available to work Eastern Time office hours.
- Are highly self-motivated and can excel with minimal supervision.
- Communicate articulately both over the phone and in written format (e.g., email, LinkedIn, Slack, etc.)
- Are comfortable making daily cold calls and spending part of your day on the phone, email, and social media.
- Are comfortable using video to engage with prospects or showcase LegiStorm’s features
- Have a natural curiosity and take ownership to learn new things while also proactively seeking coaching from both peers and managers often.
- Are tech-savvy with some experience or a strong willingness to learn sales tools such as HubSpot Sales Hub, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, etc.
- Recognize the potential of AI as a valuable sales assistant
- Eager to work in a remote fast-paced, challenging environment.
