Job Summary: To set up and operate the various machinery within the Shaft Seal Department to produce aerospace and industrial products.
Essential Job Functions includes and are not limited to:
- Follows all safety and quality policies.
- Follows Company rules/policies.
- Communicates with supervision on regular basis.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment.
- Duties include working from prints, sketches, process sheets, travelers, and verbal instructions.
- Performs equipment set ups on minimum of five machines within department.
- Makes adjustments on equipment employee is operating.
- Transport materials; perform dipping, coating, and wrapping of products as needed.
- Use of precision measuring equipment to verify product is in spec.
- Perform operator capable lubrication of service to machines and equipment.
- Maintain records and paperwork and write legibly.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- HSD or GED.
- Must meet requirements for Export Control / ITAR Compliance (see Export Control / ITAR Compliance section for details).
- Minimum one year experience as Special Skilled General Operator Shaft Seal.
- Familiarity and basic understanding of blueprints.
- Ability to train on shift other than home shift.
Home shift Friday, 11P-7A (with start of shift 11PM Thursday); Saturday & Sunday, 11P-11A - - work 32 hours and get paid for 42!
Physical Requirements:
- Safety sensitive role.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Favorable pre-employment screening results.
