Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shuttle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience for all riders. This role requires a keen understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the shuttle van while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their comfort during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
- Assist with paratransit services as needed, ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive appropriate support during their journey.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and passenger needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of local traffic patterns and routes to optimize travel times while ensuring safety.
- Van will be used for the local community as well as transportation to and from Logan Airport drop off and pickup locations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for bus driving or shuttle driving.
- Previous experience in driving roles such as delivery driver, school bus driver, or paratransit driver is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs professionally.
- Experience operating various types of vehicles including buses, motor coaches, or limousines is desirable.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
