The New Graduate Registered Nurse is an entry-level nursing professional who is highly motivated, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care. This position is designed for newly licensed RNs seeking to develop a broad clinical skill set through hands-on experience in multiple nursing specialties, including Emergency Services (ER), Obstetrics (OB), and other patient care areas as needed.
The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, adaptability, strong critical thinking skills, and a passion for continuous learning. Working alongside experienced nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, the New Graduate RN will participate in a structured orientation and mentorship program designed to build confidence, clinical competence, and professional growth across diverse patient populations and care settings.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of nursing disciplines while developing the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, high-quality care. Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery, Nursery and Post-Partum setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in condition or response to treatment.
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and swing bed setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

- Knowledge of customer service concepts.
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to accurately assess patient and document findings in the electronic medical record.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Expresses excellent judgment, discretion and decision-making abilities.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, CMS, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs), HIPPA and continued readiness related to healthcare or hospital standards.
- Ability to prioritize, highly organized.
- High work ethic, low absenteeism, attends staff meetings and other mandatory trainings as required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Maintains RN License, in good standing with State of Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA).
