We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced medical imaging technology.
- Diagnose dental conditions accurately by applying comprehensive dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis principles.
- Deliver a variety of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, dental implants, extractions, and oral surgery procedures.
- Conduct specialized treatments including endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implant placements as needed.
- Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations; ensure all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions; foster a welcoming environment that promotes client communication and trust.
- Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Utilize dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
- Adhere to all applicable healthcare standards and dental office policies to ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records and clinical workflows.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics (including crowns and bridges), orthodontics (including braces), pediatric dentistry procedures, and implant placements.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive examinations; skilled in client communication to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for accurate diagnosis.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and adhering to all safety protocols within the dental practice.
