Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in helping clients achieve their goals through structured support and education.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behavior to assess progress and effectiveness of interventions.
- Work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, providing support in various settings.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to reinforce positive behaviors.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive client information.
- Assist in the development of care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation is maintained for all client interactions.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is essential.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and behavioral health practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
