Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, including equipment and utensils
- Support menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Help with catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food as needed
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs and meal accommodations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential
