Director of Social Services
Job Summary:
AdviniaCare Venice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team. As a leading senior living provider, we offer a range of services including skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care. The Director of Social Services will be responsible for overseeing the social services department, providing psychosocial support to residents, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs of residents residing in a skilled nursing center
Develop and/or aid in the access of services for residents
Provide services in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and government regulations
Collaborate with other disciplines to provide individualized care plans for residents
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
2+ years of experience in social services, preferably in a skilled nursing setting
Strong communication, assessment, and social work methods and techniques
Ability to work effectively with a variety of disciplines in an individual and team setting
Working understanding of social systems and ability to implement pertinent state and federal regulations
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required
