Fitzgerald’s Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The Staff Pharmacist will work under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge and play an important role in providing safe, accurate, and professional medication services to our patients.
This position is well suited for a pharmacist who takes pride in patient care, accuracy, customer service, teamwork, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.
What You'll Do
Patient Care & Prescription Services
- The Staff Pharmacist position is a full-time, on-site role in Williamsburg. This pharmacist position is responsible for accurately dispensing prescription medications, verifying orders, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and safety, collaborating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, spending time in our LTC pharmacy onsite, and working with our compounding pharmacy staff.
- The Staff Pharmacist will oversee pharmacy technicians, support inventory management, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- The role also involves providing friendly, patient-centered service that aligns with the pharmacy’s family-focused values and community-oriented mission.
Qualifications
*Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
*Strong clinical knowledge of medications, drug interactions, dosing, and disease state management, with a commitment to safe and accurate dispensing. Experience in eCare planning, MTM completion and clinical documentation preferred.
*Excellent patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to serve individuals respectfully and clearly.
*Experience supervising and collaborating with pharmacy technicians and other staff, including workload prioritization and workflow optimization.
*Proficiency with pharmacy management systems, e-prescribing platforms, and basic computer applications used in retail pharmacy settings.
*Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.
*Ability to stand for extended periods and perform essential onsite duties, including inventory management and prescription processing.
*Previous retail or community pharmacy experience preferred; immunization certification and ability to administer vaccines are a plus.

Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
