Clinical Research Coordinator | Rheumatology Research
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join a growing rheumatology research program conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials. This is an excellent opportunity for a research professional who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about advancing treatments for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner, highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating clinical trials from study start-up through closeout. Candidates with experience using CRIO, EDC platforms, and other clinical research systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will:
- Coordinate clinical trial activities in accordance with study protocols, GCP guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Screen, recruit, and enroll eligible study participants.
- Obtain and document informed consent under investigator supervision.
- Schedule and coordinate study visits, procedures, and participant follow-up.
- Perform protocol-required procedures such as vital signs, ECGs, specimen collection, and patient questionnaires, as permitted by training and protocol.
- Collect, review, and enter study data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
- Maintain accurate source documentation, study binders, regulatory files, and participant records.
- Process, label, store, and ship laboratory specimens according to protocol requirements.
- Monitor participant compliance and maintain communication with study participants throughout the trial.
- Report adverse events and protocol deviations to investigators and assist with required documentation.
- Communicate with sponsors, CROs, laboratories, and study vendors regarding study-related activities.
- Prepare for sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
- Maintain investigational product accountability and assist with study drug/device management.
- Assist with recruitment efforts and study outreach activities.
- Participate in team meetings, sponsor training, and continuing education activities.
- Ensure compliance with study protocols, institutional policies, and applicable federal regulations.
- Bonus skills: Thorough knowledge of CRIO and EDC.
Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in biology
- Interest in continuing with research as a career path.
- Must be willing to commit to at least 2 years and have at least 1 year of clinical research experience in the US.
- Must have vaccinations in accordance with CDC guidelines in addition to completed COVID vaccination series.
