Overview
MUST BE 18 YRS OR OLDER. WEEKENDS ONLY. We are seeking friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server/Cashiers to join our team on weekends. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about food service and customer interaction, with a focus on providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests. The position involves engaging with customers, handling transactions, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the serving area. Previous experience in food service, retail, or the food industry is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in working in a quick service environment and developing their skills in hospitality and sales.
Duties
- Serve ice cream and other treats to customers with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card payments, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including food preparation surfaces and seating areas
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Manage customer inquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Support bussing tables and maintaining an organized work environment during busy periods
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and basic math for cash handling and retail math is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to efficiently serve customers during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in food preparation or culinary settings can be advantageous but is not mandatory
