Bartender
Location: Dallas, Texas
Part-time (1-3 shifts per week based on demand)
$8 / per hour + tips, with a $15 minimum pay guarantee
Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic, smiling, and upbeat beer-tender with a passion for the craft beer industry. This role will be focused on providing friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service that will create an exceptional experience for guests. We host a variety of private events, public activities, and regular taproom guests so having flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.
Prior service experience with a brewery, bar/restaurant, event venue, winery is recommended, but not required. Being a responsible individual that is passionate to strengthen our brewery's business is!
Responsibilities:
- Properly pour and serve craft beers and seltzer on draft (and cans occasionally)
- Upsell beer to go and merchandise
- Describe and sell Texas Ale Project beers accurately and enthusiastically
- Keep a tidy and very clean work environment at all times
- Demonstrate knowledge on beer styles and craft brewing process
- Assess customers’ needs and make recommendations
- Proactively serve to tables for optimal service and sales
- Be well versed in our pricing and follow SOPs to protect business's profitability
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Restock and replenish bar inventory
- Accurately process payments using a point-of-sale system
- Communicate effectively with management, assess and alert of important concerns
- Maintain clean and organized taproom and beer garden area (i.e.: glass washing, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing tables, cleaning restrooms, etc.)
- ID customers to confirm legal drinking age
- Comply with food and beverage regulations
- Some food prep and serving is required
