Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes
- Support the cooking team by organizing supplies and ensuring all ingredients are ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely during preparation, storage, and transportation to prevent contamination
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes and special events
- Support catering and food service operations by portioning and plating food items efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Experience in food handling, food preparation, or kitchen environments within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
