Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration to maintain healthy turf.
- Execute landscape maintenance activities such as pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control to keep outdoor spaces vibrant.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks.
- Use machinery like excavators and snow plows to assist with site preparation and seasonal clean-up projects.
- Install hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with precision.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth.
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design or renovation under supervision.
- Maintain equipment through routine inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with landscaping machinery and tools in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related construction fields is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other landscaping equipment is strongly preferred.
- Strong lawn care skills including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices such as pruning, planting, mulching, and weed control.
- Ability to operate machinery like snow plows or irrigation systems is a plus.
- Experience with tree care activities including trimming and planting is preferred.
- Construction experience related to hardscape installation or site preparation is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead or support crew members effectively.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
