Position Responsibilities:
The Chemical Coordinator will perform chemical approval initiations, acquisitions, receipt, storage, and tracking of chemicals, development, and maintenance of the chemical coordinator program, provide training, technical support, provide support for the chemical management database.
The Chemical Coordinator responsibilities includes:

Serve as the point-of-contact for all aspects of the customer's chemical purchases, including approvals, procurement system input and coordination with procurement personnel.

Input chemical product and transaction information into chemical tracking database.

Track chemicals from receipt at respective facility through distribution, storage, use and disposal.

Interface with health and safety personnel, facility management, chemical users, packaging and transportation personnel, warehouse personnel and Waste Generator Services personnel to ensure that chemicals are managed, stored and transported properly.

Ensure that inventory information is accurate in the chemical tracking database for assigned locations.

Ensure that chemical containers are stored safely and compliantly, facility limits are not surpassed and that established tracking systems are being utilized properly.
Provide reports from the chemical tracking database for chemical users, owners, facility managers and environmental, safety and health personnel.

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED
-
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental, or other science disciplines

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
