RESPONSIBILITIES
· Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis
· Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality
· Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures
· Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary
· Responsible for the high quality of product and good safety habits
· Responsible for the safety and training of others
· Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook
· Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product
· Responsible for creating and maintaining a working team environment
· Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping
· Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment
· Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision
· Be able and required to weld all products within the business unit
· Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments
· Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
- Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
- Must be able to read a tape measure and be trained to operate overhead crane
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
