Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Prepare food items efficiently, ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales swiftly and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage cash handling procedures responsibly.
- Upsell additional products or toppings to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks like scooping, topping, and serving ice cream while adhering to food handling protocols.
- Support team members with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and restocking supplies during busy hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or quick service restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing register operations accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
