Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the overall well-being of the individuals under your care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and transportation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals to thrive in
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observations or incidents
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs is preferred but not required
- Experience in assisted living, caregiving, or similar roles is a plus
- Valid driver's license with no DUI's and no more than 6 points is required for transportation purposes
