Responsibilities
- Open and close the store securely, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
- Supervise daily store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and customer service interactions.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members to uphold high standards of employee orientation and development.
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and resolving escalated issues with effective negotiation skills.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring staff coverage aligns with business needs while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of cash registers, bookkeeping records, and payroll documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales growth.
- Maintain organized stockrooms and ensure proper merchandising standards are met consistently.
- Utilize management skills to supervise team performance, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry sales team management environment.
- Strong leadership skills with previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently with outstanding organizational skills and time management.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, pricing strategies, merchandising, and promotional planning.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff, as well as operational management including budgeting and payroll processing.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or wireless sales is advantageous but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence; phone etiquette is essential.
