Contract RN – Critical Access Hospital (ER & Med-Surg)
Location: Le Mars, IA
Position Type: 13-Week Contract
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment at a nationally recognized Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa. This unique role is ideal for an adaptable nurse who can seamlessly cover both the Emergency Department (ED) and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units.
Tax-free traveler stipend rates are available for those who qualify.
Position Overview
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days and Nights; weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week (Guaranteed)
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Schedule Details: Every third weekend rotation; holiday coverage based on rotation; no regular on-call expected
- Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Unit & Facility Details
- Setting: Critical Access Hospital (Bed size under 50)
- Departments Covered: Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical (including Adult, Ortho, Pediatrics, and Mother/Baby populations)
- EMR System: EPIC
Key Requirements & QualificationsClinical Experience
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of current nursing experience, with strong competency in both Emergency Department and Med-Surg environments.
- Adaptability: Must be comfortable rotating between ED and Med-Surg departments based on facility census and staffing needs.
Licenses & Certifications
- Active Iowa or Compact/Multistate RN License (required upon contract acceptance).
- Standard life support certifications for ER and Med-Surg specialties (BLS, ACLS, and pediatric/trauma certifications are highly preferred).
Pay: From $61.00 per hour
