Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Project Manager with detailing experience to oversee and manage our steel detailing projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Steel Construction, Detailing, construction management, project coordination. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of steel construction and detailing.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize construction projects according to our clients' strict deadlines and specified requirements.
- Coordinate with our fabricators, engineers and our detailing teams to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain project schedules as set by our clients
- Attend weekly job progress meetings, BIM Coordination Meetings and other coordination meetings with our clients
- Manage detailing teams and engineering teams to ensure project accuracy.
- Oversee timely submission of our documents and forecast upcoming submission schedules and resource needs.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to guide project execution.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement time management strategies to optimize workflow and productivity
Skills
- Proficiency in Steel related computer software including Tekla Powerfab, Bluebeam, Revit and SDS2
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and steel fabrication
- Excellent project management skills with a focus on communication and execution.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Solid knowledge of specifications and code's related to construction projects.
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
