We are seeking a Motivated and Reliable Mobile Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance/repairs on both our equipment and our customer’s equipment. This position is mostly mobile however it may contain periods of time working in a shop atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspections and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed to repair unit
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards. Keep up to date with changing regulations and standards.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Ensure service calls are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, inventory, and tools.
- Keep accurate records of all service work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job completing paperwork daily.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols.
- Provide preventive maintenance, DOT, and conduct system inspections as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mobile Service Technician or experience in a diesel shop setting that would translate into a mobile technician role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel for periods of time throughout the United States if the need arises
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs.) and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Ability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending, for extended periods.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions, as required by project needs.
- Exposure to noise levels, and potentially hazardous equipment and materials.
Experience:
- DOT: 2 years (Preferred)
- Hydraulic, diesel, heavy equipment, and/or heavy truck mechanic: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CDL (Preferred)
- ASE Certification (Preferred)
- NATEF Certification (Preferred)
- Welding Certification (Preferred)
- Fluid Power Society Certification (Preferred)
- TWIC Card (Preferred)
