Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, helping clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment that enhances mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate care plans, document patient observations, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
- Support clients with mobility and manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and safe patient transfers.
- Assist with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote overall health and safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide specialized support.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation are essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for patient transfer methods.
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication management, patient monitoring, and care plan adherence is necessary.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
