About the Role
As a Gaming Service Technician, you will play an essential role in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing video gaming equipment at customer establishments throughout the assigned service area. This position is responsible for responding to service calls, resolving technical and customer-related issues, and supporting management in delivering exceptional customer service across the region.
The ideal candidate must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and successfully meet all requirements established by the Illinois Gaming Board and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, including fingerprinting and background screening.
What you’ll do
Core Responsibilities

Respond to service calls and complete equipment repairs efficiently by prioritizing requests based on urgency and geographic location.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Service teams, under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, to identify and prepare equipment for deployment and service.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions involving electronic gaming devices and related equipment.
- Install, inspect, and test electronic gaming devices, hardware, and associated systems to support continuous and efficient business operations.
- Communicate professionally with clerks, management, and customers to address and resolve service-related issues.
- Complete and maintain all required service documentation, device records, and activity logs accurately and timely.
- Ensure the quality, functionality, and integrity of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate equipment and parts needs to minimize downtime and support rapid product turnaround.

Who You Are

Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing VGTs preferred but not required.
- Possesses intermediate-level computer skills.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing instruments, including gauges and meters.
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Exhibits strong electronic and mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with customers, peers, managers, and cross-functional departments.
- Must successfully meet all requirements established by the Illinois Gaming Board and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, including fingerprinting and background screening.

Education
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

This position works primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Noise levels and environmental changes are typically low and predictable.
