Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production for high-volume service.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with menu planning, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Handle food with care, maintaining proper food handling and safety practices throughout all stages of meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours.
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures.
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation.
- Demonstrated ability in menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling within the food industry.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food production for large-scale catering or restaurant service.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced kitchens with high-volume production requirements is highly desirable.
