Position: HR Generalist
Location: Honolulu
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually (depending on experience)
Local organization seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources functions and contribute to a positive employee experience. This role will be responsible for benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, compensation administration, compliance, HR operations, employee engagement initiatives, and day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Support payroll processing, review timesheets, and assist with payroll-related issues.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with compensation administration, salary surveys, pay structures, and recognition programs
- Support employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate employee wellness, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits, policy updates, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support HR systems administration and maintain accurate employee data.
- Respond to employee questions and provide exceptional internal customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, compensation, and compliance activities.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a positive employee experience.
