About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at our Brooklyn, New York location. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with special needs, providing individualized instruction and support to help them reach their full potential. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and psychologists to develop and implement comprehensive educational plans for our students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide instruction and support to students in small group and one-on-one settings
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement lesson plans and activities aligned with state and national standards
Assess and evaluate student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless support for students
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience working with special needs students
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
Valid New York teaching certification in Special Education
What We Offer:
Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 annually
