Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a commitment to educating students of all ages. This role involves creating an engaging learning environment that fosters creativity, discipline, and a love for dance. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for developing lesson plans, teaching various dance styles, and ensuring a positive experience for all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Instruct students in different dance styles while promoting proper techniques and safety practices.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, offering feedback and encouragement to enhance their skills.
- Organize and participate in performances, recitals, or competitions as needed.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of culinary arts or early childhood education.
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to their child’s development in dance.
Experience
- Proven experience in dance instruction or related fields such as preschool education, tutoring, or special education is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
- Background in early childhood education is a plus, particularly in integrating creative arts into learning experiences.
- Experience in curriculum development that incorporates dance as a form of expression and education is highly desirable.
- A passion for working with children and fostering their growth through the art of dance is essential.
