Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Conveyor Field Service Technician to join our team. Northeast Conveyors, Inc. has been manufacturing and installing conveyors in the packaging and bottling industry for 30+ years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Hands on installation, maintenance, and repair of OEM conveyor systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot start up issues on site
- Appropriately document all work performed (i.e. field service reports/inspection, layout drawing and customer interactions)
- Work independently installing system or lead crew on customer locations
- Coordinate with customer project manager and other subcontractors onsite.
- Review plant layout and calculate required materials and equipment for installation
- Assist with quoting install jobs
- Work with team to schedule timing of jobs
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while on-site.
- Assemble, test run, and skidding of OEM equipment at our Lima facility
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- High mechanical proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and machine specifications.
- Must be proficient with hand tools, power tools, laser level, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various customer locations as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable with heights up to 40'
- Clean NYS Driver's license
- Excellent attendance
- Able to travel to job site via company vehicle/commercial plane
Traveling
- Can be up to 2 weeks at time
- Transportation is provided by Northeast
- Per Diem per day
- Company provides individual hotel rooms

- Estimate 60% travel, 40% Lima, NY facility
