Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Event Staff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service during various events, ensuring that guests have a memorable experience. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with fellow team members to facilitate smooth operations and deliver outstanding hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces for weddings and events, ensuring all areas are clean that may include mopping, sweeping and other janitorial duties. Will require cleaning up, restocking and emptying trash during and after events.
- Assist with customer relations, addressing inquiries, directing guests and resolving any issues promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly if requested to run gift shop during events.
- Support event management by coordinating activities, managing guest flow, and ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Engage with guests providing information about the event or venue. Additionally willing to learn history of museum and featured attractions.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive atmosphere and enhance guest experiences.
- Monitor safety protocols and assist in maintaining a safe environment for all attendees.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Experience in cash handling and financial transactions a plus.
- Background in events management is a plus.
- Ability to engage effectively with children and families, creating a welcoming environment for all ages.
- skills to communicate clearly with guests.
- Previous experience in resort settings or similar environments is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet.
- Spanish speaker not required but encouraged.
