Duties
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail using various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and airbrushing
- Prepare cakes for presentation by applying frosting, icing, and decorative elements to enhance visual appeal
- Package finished products carefully to maintain quality during storage and transportation
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to cake production, including mixing ingredients and assembling layers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders and high customer satisfaction
- Support the bakery or kitchen team with general food handling, baking, and catering duties as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in cake decorating or pastry arts with a strong portfolio of decorated cakes
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Skilled in various cake decorating techniques such as piping, fondant sculpting, and airbrushing
- Experience with food production, baking, and culinary preparation in a commercial setting
- Excellent knife skills for precise trimming and shaping of cakes and decorations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to understand client preferences and deliver exceptional results
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as bakery, restaurant, or catering environments is highly desirable
