Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. Position Summary
Summary:
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for conducting clinical Pharmacy services and ensuring that the Pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The Clinical Pharmacist participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective medication therapies. He/she will promote Pharmacists as integral members of the health-care team in order to allow full utilization of their clinical and medication use control functions that would be beneficial in each health setting.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
- ASHP-Accredited PGY-1 required, PGY-2 preferred
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- 2 years clinical hospital experience.
License/Certifications
- New York State Pharmacy License.
- New York State Pharmacy Registration Certificate.
- Current certificate in BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Immunization Certification.
- Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Certification (BCOP®) strongly encouraged
