Established Preschool in Gaithersburg, MD, is seeking a Full-Time Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher. This position is in the classroom
Our program is from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Applicants must have a degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (preferred), CDA in Infant/Toddler(required) or in a related field and/or 90-hour and 45-hour coursework, a love of children, be creative, work collaboratively with a team, well organized, and have experience working in an approved, licensed childcare setting. Knowledge and Implementation of ”Children Study Their World” curriculum and Bilingual applicants are also strongly encouraged to apply
Salary will be based on experience and level of education.
Infant/ Toddler and Preschool Teacher Daily Requirements:
- Develop lesson plans.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Comfort level talking to children and daily communication with parents as well as posting the day's activities on Company app.
- Participation in staff and training meetings.
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom. Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
- Planning and implementing activities that develop independence and social skills.
- Using assessment tools.
- Committing to continuing education.
- Familiarity with developmental standards and milestones for children.
- Team player.
