Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople with their tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Help with the installation of building materials such as drywall, flooring, tile, cabinetry, windows, doors, and roofing components
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of materials and components
- Operate heavy equipment under supervision for tasks like concrete forming or site excavation when trained
- Maintain safety protocols by adhering to OSHA standards and ensuring a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Support site cleanup and material removal at the end of each workday to keep the project on schedule
Experience
- Previous construction site experience or related manual labor work preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction equipment is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and building plans accurately
- Knowledge of construction safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards
- Experience with outdoor work environments across various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of building systems such as electrical wiring or plumbing is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors
