Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional service, and a deep understanding of beverage management. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our guests enjoy a memorable experience. This job will also cover some Bartending shifts as well as cook/Bistro shifts as needed. Small operation with small menu hotel restuarnt and Bar.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bar operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Train, develop, and supervise bar staff to ensure high standards of service and product knowledge.
- Create innovative drink menus that align with current trends and customer preferences.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage budgets for the bar department to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food and beverage pairings for special events and banquets.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food management or restaurant management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of beverage production, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a hospitality setting.
- Ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
- Excellent training development skills to foster a knowledgeable team.
- Previous experience in casual dining or banquet settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
