Job Title: Teacher Assistant / Educational Aide (Small Group)Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and detail-oriented Teacher Assistant to lead and support a small group of 6 students. In this role, you will provide direct academic and behavioral support in a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment tailored to the individual needs of this small group.
Key Responsibilities
- Personalized Attention: Directly supervise and provide continuous educational support for a dedicated group of 6 students.
- Academic Support: Guide students through daily assignments, reinforce core concepts taught by the lead teacher, and adapt activities to match their learning pace.
- Classroom & Group Management: Maintain a structured, focused, and positive group environment encouraging active participation and positive behavior.
- Student Safety & Well-being: Ensure the physical safety, emotional well-being, and social integration of the group during class, recess, and special activities.
- Progress Tracking: Keep track of each student's academic progress, behavior, and overall development, communicating observations regularly with the lead teacher.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). An Associate Degree or college coursework in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, small-group tutoring, or classroom support.
- Key Skills:
- Strong patience, empathy, and ability to deliver one-on-one and small-group instruction.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
