Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate therapy plans and identify potential medication-related issues.
- Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering medications, stock rotation, and compounding medications when necessary.
- Utilize pharmacy software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and medication records accurately.
- Stay updated on drug regulation changes, healthcare compliance standards, and new pharmaceutical practices to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant state pharmacy boards.
- Prior experience practicing as a pharmacist in community or hospital settings; LTC or acute care experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to manage pharmacy operations efficiently while maintaining compliance with drug regulation policies.
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws at the state and federal level along with healthcare compliance requirements.
