Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive service, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing hitches, wiring, ignition interlock installs, U-Haul sales, and service ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Installation Technician will work with both power and hand tools, performing tasks that require heavy lifting and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Install hitches and wiring according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles with an ignition interlock device to identify any tampering.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installation tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns regarding installations.
- Rent out and check in U-Haul trucks and trailers when not working in the garage on vehicles.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques is essential.
- Previous experience in automotive wiring is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
