Job Summary
In this role, you will assist with a variety of landscape maintenance and installation projects, ensuring clean, healthy, and safe outdoor environments. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to enhancing curb appeal for various properties. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in groundskeeping, sprinkler repair, and landscape construction while working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep grounds pristine and well-manicured.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators.
- Assist with planting, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, and identifying various plant species to promote healthy growth.
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and management to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Conduct landscape construction activities such as hardscape installation (patios, walkways) and tree care including trimming and removal.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as applying pre-emergent and trimming trees.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background required; enthusiasm for working outdoors is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems is essential.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery including mowers, trimmers, excavators, and snow plows safely.
- Strong attention to safety protocol adherence and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in landscaping and groundskeeping.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
