Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety across the organization. This role partners with leadership to develop strategic initiatives that reduce risk, prevent incidents, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
- Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies, programs, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across operations
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Drive safety culture through leadership engagement, training, and employee involvement
- Manage environmental programs including waste management, air emissions, and sustainability initiatives
- Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, trends, and performance indicators
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning
- Oversee workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work programs
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership to integrate safety into daily business processes
- Manage and mentor EHS staff or site safety personnel
- 5+ years of EHS experience, with leadership or management responsibility
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven experience leading audits, investigations, and safety programs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization
