Residential Program – Eltingville Residence
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm
Coordinates with the nurse and residence manager to schedule clinic appointments and medical follow-ups for participants. Accompanies particpants to medical appointments, completes required documentation and ensures any needed prescriptions are obtained. Coordinates with the nurse and residence manager to ensure all medications are ordered and delivered. Conducts weekly medical cabinet reviews and count of medications to assure neatness and appropriate storage of all medications and supplies. Ensures medications are dispensed in accordance with OPWDD regulations and communication books are updated to inform of new medications and treatments. Notifies the nurse of any deviations from the protocols in medication administration, changes in participant health status or medical care needs of the participants. This positions also requires performing all direct care activities.
High school diploma required, associates or bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Supervisory experience is desirable. Must obtain certification in SCIP-R, AMAP, First Aid, and CPR. Must be available to work early evening hours occasionally.
$19.50 – $21.50 per hour
