Vista Vet - Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge is looking for an experienced veterinary technician to join our dynamic team. We have a new, state-of-the art facility located in beautiful Round Rock, TX. We are looking for the right balance of technical and client skills to join our fast-growing practice. We offer a teaching environment where you can expand your skills with the latest technology. The right individual must have:
- At least two years of veterinary hospital assistant/technician experience required.
- Must be familiar with performing dental cleanings, including charting.
- Must understand taking and reading blood pressures, and monitoring anesthesia, including what needs to be done during abnormal readings.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent punctuality with reliable transportation
- Ability to multi-task and complete assigned tasks.
- Quick learner with the capacity to work in a group as well as by yourself.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to follow directions in a timely manner.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the position.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Technical Skills:
- Communicating with clients in a warm and welcoming manner.
- General cleaning, hospital & equipment maintenance.
- Assisting doctors with patients while providing exceptional customer service, including client education.
- Basic animal restraint training.
- Medication knowledge and administration skills.
- Venipuncture, anesthetic monitoring, etc.
- Understand the fundamentals of how to use most medical equipment, including lab, x-ray and computers.
- Animal husbandry skills.
This job requires rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays. We would prefer a full-time position, but would consider the right candidate for part time! We offer a competitive hourly wage with paid vacation after one year of employment. Our team is our family away from our family. We would love to add the right person to our family!

- What is your desired pay rage?
- We are open Monday through Friday 7am-7pm, and Saturday from 8a-5p. On Sundays, we have our technicians come in the morning & afternoons for patient care on a rotating basis. Do you have any schedule restrictions we should be aware of or would you be able to work any shift during these hours?
