We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and self-directed person to help maintain and improve a private 17-acre residential property in Millcreek and nearby office.
The role includes facilities maintenance, repairs, painting, carpentry, landscaping, seasonal work, equipment operation, and property-improvement projects across the home, office, barn, pond, grounds, trails, and woods.
This is a physical, hands-on role. Candidates should be comfortable safely operating tractors, loaders, mowers, tillers, chainsaws, weed eaters, trailers, power tools, and related equipment.
The right person will not simply wait for instructions. They will identify maintenance needs, recommend solutions, prioritize work, complete projects independently, and recognize when licensed professionals or specialized contractors are needed.
This could be an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who has broad hands-on experience, enjoys varied work, and wants a dependable part-time schedule without the demands of a full-time position.
Responsibilities may include:
- Property and facilities maintenance
- Interior and exterior repairs
- Painting and carpentry
- Landscape, trail, pond, dock, and grounds upkeep
- Seasonal preparation and cleanup
- Equipment and power-tool operation
- Organizing tools, supplies, and work areas
- Coordinating outside contractors when needed
Requirements:
- Strong maintenance, construction, landscaping, farming, or facilities experience
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Equipment-operation experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong references and dependable communication
- Fluent in English
- Pass a background check and drug test
Schedule:
Approximately five hours per week, averaging 20-25 hours per month. A consistent weekday work block is preferred. Additional hours may be available for larger projects.
Compensation:
$25-$35 per hour, based on experience and ability to work independently.
