Overview
Samphire Neuroscience develops evidence-based neurostimulation for women's health. We're building our first US commercial motion — landing and expanding within specialist clinics (OB/GYN, endometriosis, and pelvic-pain practices).
Join our dynamic team as a Medical Device Sales Specialist and become a vital driver of innovation in healthcare! In this energetic role, you will leverage your scientific and medical equipment expertise to promote cutting-edge medical devices to healthcare providers. Your passion for sales combined with technical knowledge will empower you to build strong relationships, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and achieve outstanding sales results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient care while advancing your career in the thriving medical device industry.
Duties
- Prospect and qualify target clinics across your California metro — build and maintain the target list of OB/GYN, endo, and pelvic-pain specialists.
- Book and coordinate meetings, demos, and follow-ups; get the CEO (and later, clinical staff) in front of the right decision-makers.
- Own clinic onboarding logistics — turn a signed clinic into an active one: coordinate training, materials, and first-prescription follow-through.
- Instrument the motion — keep the CRM clean and track the metrics that matter: activation rate, patients per clinic, time-to-first-prescription, and early retention. This data is the deliverable.
- Be the local presence — regular in-person visits to nurture accounts and surface what's working and what isn't.
- Feed the playbook — report ground-truth field insights back to the CEO to sharpen targeting, messaging, and the go-to-market plan.
- Lead negotiations and deal closing processes, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet organizational goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering technical support, and ensuring satisfaction with product performance.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategies.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and training sessions to enhance product visibility and professional expertise.
What we're looking for
- 1–4 years in medical device / healthcare field sales, clinical support, or a clinic-facing commercial role — or a clinically adjacent background (e.g. nursing, sonography, medical education) with the hunger to move into commercial.
- Highly organised and data-disciplined — you keep a CRM immaculate and can turn field activity into clean metrics.
- Personable and credible in a clinical setting; comfortable in front of specialist physicians and their staff.
- Self-directed and scrappy — thrives with ownership and ambiguity, doesn't need a big playbook handed to them.
- Locally networked or well-rooted in your metro (Bay Area, LA, Orange County, or San Diego) and willing to travel locally most days.
- Genuine interest in women's health.
- Knowledge of medical sales regulations, pharmaceutical sales practices, and healthcare industry standards.
Nice to have
- Exposure to women's health, neuromodulation, or a prescription/reimbursed device.
- Experience as an early commercial hire at a startup.
- Existing relationships with OB/GYN or pelvic-pain clinics in your metro.
